Please Be Still

I pray that you are well in body and spirit. In the wake of what is going on around the world, I would like to encourage you to be still. Don't panic! He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world. I know you may have questions as to why this is happening but don't forget that diseases have been present long before you were born. The best part is we have a savior who rose above death and diseases with healing in His wings. His word to you this morning "Be Still and know that I am God"[ Psalm 46:10 ]

Jesus Calms The Storm

22 One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and set out. 23 As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger. 24 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. 25 “Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples. In fear and amazement they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.” [ Luke 8:22–25]

What manner of man is this? Even the sea and the winds obey Him! "Be Still! No matter what type of storm is blowing in your life, Jesus has the power to calm the storm. He can't calm your storms if you don't have faith. What is faith? Faith is the connecting power into the spiritual realm which links us with God. It is the basic ingredient to begin a relationship with God. Faith is the substance through which we receive from God, our salvation. Ephesians 2: 8-9 says for by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. We must believe and respond to the Word which then will produce in our faith as a 'fruit of the Spirit' (Galatians 5:22).

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" Hebrews 11: 1. Fear is the opposite of faith. When we lack the trust we have in God, we open ourselves into all sorts of fear like the coronavirus. You turn the tv on and all you hear from the media is an increasing number of people who have been affected by the disease and how many have died. I'm not saying we should disregard taking precautions, but living in fear will not keep us safe. This is the time to draw closer to God and pray for others who have been affected and seek His covering for your family and loved ones. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. [James 5:16 ] The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.[ 1 Kings 18:1-2]

Don't be broken by fear, the same power that was in Elijah is also in you. Mark 16:17-18 says "And these signs will follow those who believe: In my name, they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” You have the power to lay hands on the sick (including coronavirus) and they will recover!

May the Lord bless you!

Fasting & Prayers

We Will Update You On The Date

The month of March 2020 has been dedicated to fasting and prayers so mark it on your calendar. "After Jesus had gone into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” Jesus answered, “This kind cannot come out, except by prayer.” Going on from there, they passed through Galilee. But Jesus did not want anyone to know,… [Mark 9:28-30]" But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth."[ Acts 1:8]
