Our Beliefs
We believe in the Trinity
God the Father is the first Person of the Trinity, which also includes his Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit [ John 10:30, Matt 28:19]
We believe Jesus is the way,the truth and the life:
I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.[John 14:6]
We believe Jesus died and rose again:
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.[John 11:25-26, Mark 16:5-7]
We believe the bible is the authoritative word of God:
"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right."[2 Timothy 3:16]
We believe In the gifts and the operations of the Holy Spirit:
“For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit [ 1 Corinthians 12:8]
We believe Jesus is coming soon:
Let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me.In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. [John 14:1-3]
Why the need to pray and intercede for others:
Intercessory prayer is to intercede on behalf of others. They can be an acquaintance or total strangers. Have you ever felt a burden on you to pray for someone? Sometimes you don't have a clue as to what to pray for but the Holy Spirit prompts you to pray at a specific time for someone or a group of people. Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words[Romans 8:26]
Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.[James 5:14-16] The early Christians continued to practice intercessory prayer on behalf of others after Jesus' death. Paul believed that prayer transformed the person doing the praying, as much as the one being prayed for, which creates a stronger bond between him and God. Praying for other people's illnesses was another way that intercessory prayer was important in the early church, as healing was a sign of "the power of God's Kingdom. Apart from praying for healing, we can intercede for others for their salvation. Brethren, my heart's desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation. For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge. For not knowing about God's righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.[Romans 10:1-4]
Interceding for other people in prayer is a call for every Christian. By praying for others we unite our hearts in a special bond with the people we are praying for through the Holy Spirit. Intercessory prayer helps us to build bridges between God the people we pray for. Jesus did the same while he was here and still intercedes for us with the Father and the Holy Spirit. “if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He is the propitiation for our sins.”[1John 2:1-2 ] Before you intercede for someone, forgive any grudge that's in your heart: “But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.” –Mark 11:25
Enter into the phase of thanksgiving: From them will come songs of thanksgiving and the sound of rejoicing. I will add to their numbers, and they will not be decreased; I will bring them honor, and they will not be disdained. [Jeremiah 30:19] Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. [Psalm 107:8-9 ] How do you feel when you help someone and they come back to thank you for overflowing with joy? Secretly, you start thinking of ways to do more for this person to achieve the same results. It gives you the fulfillment to know that you're a blessing to someone. That's exactly how God feels when we praise Him.
I appeal to you, therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.[Romans 12:1] Worship is the total submission to God reflecting his infinite love to mankind through His son, Jesus Christ. Our worship should put the supreme worth of God in the display. True worshippers value and treasure God above all things. “The hour is coming and is now here when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is the spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” [John 4:23–24] Until the time of Jesus, entry into the Most Holy Place was reserved for the high priest only once a year. Everything that kept us from an intimate and fulfilling relationship with the Lord was dealt with at the Cross. We now access to Him all the time. Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have the confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the veil, that is, his body.[Hebrews 10:19-20]
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” "Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water."[Hebrews 10:22] God is looking for the opportunity to reach us. He did it numerous ways in the old through angels and then through His only begotten son. His desire for you is to avail yourself to intercede for others as the High priest did and to have an intimate relationship with you as you use your intercession to bridge the gap between man and God. It's the highest office in God. While you pray for others not only will He take care of your needs and you'll establish a bond with Him and the Holy Spirit. Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart.[Psalm 37:4] You'll be like a tree planted the water.[Psalm 1:3] Says he is like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season, whose leaf does not wither, and who prospers in all he does.
